Shipping marks
Norra Timber’s shipping marks for our sawn timber are a guarantee of consistently high quality.
Shipping marks are stamped on the end of planks and boards. They indicate who the manufacturer is and the quality grade of the wood. The importance of shipping marks differs greatly between markets. In some countries the use of shipping marks has decreased. In more traditional markets, such as North Africa and the Middle East, it is still a very important indication of quality.
