Norra Timber operates three modern sawmills equipped with the very latest technology. All our sawmills specialize in high-quality spruce and pine products.

We also operate three processing units and a utility pole factory. Our total production amounts to nearly 800,000 cubic meters of sawn timber, 155,000 cubic meters of planed timber, approximately 60,000 turned pine poles and 275,000 bales of wood shavings per year. Some 60 percent of our timber is exported to countries around the world.

Kåge Sawmill

Kåge Sawmill is a modern plant that is constantly being developed and improved. The sawmill specializes in the production of high-quality spruce and pine products. Its efficient production units employ the very latest technology in a number of areas to optimize the yield from each log. Kåge sawmill is the largest seller of sawn spruce in northern Sweden.

Sävar Sawmill

Sävar Sawmill is a modern plant with an efficient bandsaw line with a high yield, The sawmill specializes in the production of high-quality whitewood and redwood products. It employs X-ray technology, including the world’s first CT-scan integrated directly into the saw line.

Hissmofors Sawmill

Hissmofors Sawmill cuts both spruce and pine from high-quality slow-grown timber sourced from the forests of northern Sweden. The raw material it uses is suitable for further processing and is also exported worldwide.

Agnäs Utility Pole Factory

Agnäs Utility Pole Factory has extensive experience in the production of turned poles made from high-quality redwood. The raw material used is specially selected from the finest pine trees grown in the forests of northern Sweden, which are internationally recognized for their unique qualities.

Our building product units

Our processing units consist of two planing mills in Kåge and Hissmofors, as well as a painting factory in Hammerdal. At our Hissmofors facility we also have a pressure treatment facility.

At our factory in Hammerdal we process and paint exterior panels, creating the ideal conditions for the wood, paint, moisture content and surface treatment process.
