Environmental policy
Norra Skog will contribute to a sustainable society through responsible forestry and industrial operations that take account of the climate and the environment. From an environmental perspective, this means that:

The environmental work will be incorporated into the Group’s strategic work, and overall environmental goals will be drawn up.
- We will be aware of, and take responsibility for, Norra Skog’s environmental impact. We will make the most of the positive environmental impact that the business has.
- We will carefully manage our use of natural resources and limit the amount of waste and pollution that our business generates.
- The environmental work will cover the whole value chain within Norra Skog’s business and will be conducted in partnership with contractors and other suppliers.
- We will comply with all laws, regulations and agreements governing our business.
- We will evaluate, and inform people about, our environmental work on an ongoing basis and develop our processes through continuous improvements.
Quality policy
Norra Skog will deliver goods and services of a quality that gives our customers and members a significant reason to work with us in both the short and long term.
From a quality perspective, this means that:
- The quality work will be incorporated into the Group’s strategic work, and overall quality goals will be drawn up.
- We will be aware of the needs and expectations of internal and external customers and our members, and find ways of meeting these.
- The quality work will cover the whole value chain within Norra Skog’s business and will be conducted in partnership with contractors and other suppliers.
- We will strive to get things right first time, on every level.
- Nonconformities and complaints will be handled quickly and correctly.
- We will comply with all laws, regulations and agreements governing our business.
- We will be process-driven and develop our processes through continuous improvements.
Raw material policy
Norra Skog does not accept raw material originating from:
- Illegal logging
- Forestry that contravenes rights concerning property, community tenure and usage
- Forests with the highest conservation values.
- Forests that are converted to other land use in contravention of PEFC Sweden’s Forestry Standard.
- Forests that contain, or after harvesting are replanted with, genetically modified trees.
