In 2025, the Swedish forest owners' association Norra Skog — owner of the industrial operations under the Norra Timber brand — reached a historic milestone in timber contracting, securing 3.9 million cubic meters under bark (m³ub). This is the highest contracted volume ever and strengthens the long term foundation for Norra Timber’s industrial production. For comparison, the contracted volume in 2024 was 3.6 million m³ub.

Norra Timber’s extensive modernization of the Sävar sawmill in northern Sweden has now been put to the test – and the results place the facility firmly in the global top tier. In the final acceptance test of the new log sorting line, carried out in close cooperation with equipment supplier Nordautomation Oy, Sävar Sawmill exceeded all performance requirements by a wide margin, clearly demonstrating the capacity and stability of the new high-tech installation.
